It was so exciting capturing shots of this Western Kingbird at my friend Laveda's farm today. She only lives about 10 minutes from here, but has birds that we don't have. The farm is located in a beautiful, open valley with creeks, cows, neighboring Llama, and I guess better bugs, because we don't have Western Kingbirds, or the gorgeous Bullock's Oriole that they've spotted either. I was hoping to capture the Oriole while there, but they were too shy, so I'm planning on going back in a few days to try again.
While there, this little Allen's Hummingbird posed for me as well.
