Lots of projects in the works here! One thing I'm working on is an online book class. I need to learn the editing software so I can include video, which is one of the reasons I'm not able to set a date yet. I purchased a high end video camera well over a year ago, but haven't used it yet, or learned the software, so I'm not sure how long it will take to get all the kinks worked out. I'll post here as well as send updates to everyone on my announcement list as soon as I have more details. Here's a sneak peek of a couple techniques that will be covered in the class.
Yesterday, we had the carpets cleaned and had to stay off them for 5 hours, so it was a fabulous excuse to be very patient while luring in birds that are normally too timid to shoot in our backyard. I've wanted to get shots of an Acorn Woodpecker for a very long time, but until yesterday, I had been unsuccessful. I was so excited when he finally came close enough for me to get several shots.
lol ya think I put out enough seed for luring?
Of course all the finches were out as well. The shot below was taken as the sun started to go down. A very peace filled sunset.
Then this morning, Tulla and I went out to play ball and greet the sun as it came up again.
The birds were busy getting breakfast and tending nests.
This little guy fluttered by to make the morning complete...
