I've been enjoying hikes around the Jacksonville Wilderness area the past couple days. It's a beautiful place to go for a morning walk.
Most of the wildflowers have gone, but there are still a few here and there.
Lots of poison oak everywhere, so you don't dare wander, but there's plenty of beauty to enjoy along the trails.
I really don't know if there is anything as wonderful as being outdoors in the sunshine, hiking a trail with my camera.
After not feeling well for a year, it's even more wonderful to walk and feel the beauty around me, breathing it in and dwelling deeply.
Thank you for taking us on that walk...is that blue insect a dragonfly?
It's gorgeous!

I'm drooling over your photos. I don't know what the blue insect with the "bug" eyes is but he's a beauty.

Beautiful shots of nature...love the blue damselfly.

I loved this walk through countryside that means a lot to me.
All the photos are evocative, but the close-up of the damselfly took my breath away.
Thanks so much for this and WISH I could take one of your book workshops.
